The Brief:

This photo was taken November of 2006 while traveling overland through Salar de Uyuni  in southern Boliva.  For 5 days, 4 nights, I commanded the back seat of a late-80′s Toyota Landcruiser while our co-pilots and Brazilian and German friends took up the front two rows.  The Bolivian desert is located 3,656 meters (11,995 ft) above the mean sea level, making it a full-time job just trying to stay hydrated.  As there are no port-a-loos in the middle of “nowhere,” I found myself experiencing the most picturesque bathroom break I’ve ever had in my life.  So far.

The Story:

Coming soon.
